Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. Checking in here for our 1-day trip, we went looking in a different area. We went looking for some kelps and found out some bluefin tuna biting there. It was closer to home and we ended up with about a dozen bluefin, 30-40 lbs. And 1 open water dorado mixed in there too. Toronado Yellowfin Mid-Day Check-In, Ray is Live

We went the distance and did the best we could with the time allotted here. We had a stop for 21 yellowfin tuna, up to about 35 lbs. So far we've got 150+ Dorado, 35 yellowtail, some nice big bonito, and it looks like 3 or 4 yellowfin tuna down there too. Nice mix of fish! Joe checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We ended up getting 17 or 18 of the big mean bluefin tuna and we got our butts kicked yesterday. There were a lot of casualties but the guys did their best, it's tough to land these fish on lighter line. We even got a couple on the poppers which was really coo.
